Google Proxy Hacking: How A Third Party Can Remove Your Site From Google SERPs

Dan Thies wrote an article on a major flaw that he discovered with Google’s algorithm.  His observations show that google has a flaw which allows hackers to use proxy methods to take over your site’s homepage; Google then indexes the proxy and then proceeds to drops your page due to minus 999 penalty (sometimes called minus 950), whatever you want to call it.  Very interesting.  He has been keeping this quiet for sometime but decided to post this live so that hopefully Google will do something about it.  Lets hope so.

In my opinion, Google is at it’s peak and can no longer assume that users will remain loyal if they dont make some adjustments in the near future.  It still is the best engine in terms of relevant results when I perform long tail searches, but the moment something else comes out that works as good, Im gone….

Dan Thies will be discussing this issue with Jim Hedger on Webmaster Radio’s “The Alternative” on  Thursday August 16 - the show airs at 5pm Eastern.
